22 September 2002 - London Open House

Once a year, many buildings of architectural or historic importance open their doors to the public. Evis and I went on a small tour.

On the Millennium Bridge, popularly known as the Wobbly Bridge.

On the north bank, we landed in the City, in time to get a good view of the Tate Modern gallery.

And of course, as we were passing the City of London School, I simply had to show Evis around my alma mater.

CLS's great hall, scene of many of my musical triumphs. Every Monday at assembly, I as Head Boy, and the other prefects, had to process across the stage, immediately before the Headmaster gave his speech.

Another of my duties was to give a speech at Prize Day in praise of John Carpenter, best described as the John Harvard of CLS.

I could prove I was there, since a poster for my first play, 'The Famous Turnip Winter', was still on the board.

There were 250,000 Countryside Alliance people, marching around in favour of fox-hunting, more subsidies etc etc... against the supermarkets, townies etc etc... - and generally we had no idea what the hell they wanted.

We then went into legal London, where Evis saw who regulates her.
