25 January 2003 - Burns Night

Toynbee Hall, a place with which I have no connection, hosted a black tie ball for Burns Night. Since my Oxford friends are still well-in with the black tie world, along I came.

At Tom's house, Mr Bashford prepares his shirt.

Meanwhile, I prepared the kilt.

Arriving separately from the girls, there was a boys' team photo.

The lovely ladies, including Kelly and Laura, joined us later.

There was a nice buffet.

The style was civilised.

And we could flop out afterwards.

Everyone was admiring each other's outfits.

After dinner, we moved onto dance - here with Carroll and Rory.

Kelly was an enthusiastic dancer.

A happy bunch.

Especially birthday-boy Rory.
