10 August 2002 - Boka Kotorska
Ignoring advice, I took the old road over the mountains from Cetinje to Kotor - and was eventually rewarded for my efforts.
For hours, the road went up steeply.
Whenever I felt like I'd reached the top of the mountain, another higher one would rear up.
Even the occasional descent did not lead to the sea.
Eventually, I reached my first view of the Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor) in the evening.
I must have been 800m up, and the high-speed descent into Kotor lasted for at least half an hour.
There was no traffic on the roads, and I was able to descend the 8% hairpins at almost 40km per hour.
I arrived from the mountain high to the top-right.
